Welcome to my Parlour ...

On August 26th, 2010, my mother passed beyond the veil.
This event has become a catalyst for change in many and often profound ways in my life.
This is my way of chronicling those changes so that I may, at a later date, have the ability to review and reflect upon them.

New Year ... new practices.

Been thinking about this one a lot recently.

With how awful 2016 has been, I am wanting to take concrete steps to see if I can consciously steer 2017 towards better things.

Building upon my NANoWriMo discipline challenge that I managed to successfully complete (next year I will try to produce a short story instead of separate journal entries), I want to continue forging ahead with setting specific goals around the creation and maintenance of daily practices that will move me away from wasted days spent at the computer playing Guild Wars 2 and towards more things that will have a concrete and tangible end product or result.

One of the things I intend is a re dedication to my FlameKeeper practice ... I tend shift 3 in the Rose cill at the Ord Brighideach International which means that I am supposed to keep a candle/flame lit vigil during my waking hours from sundown to sunup ever twentieth day (with other women keeping the other shifts and Brid tending for the twentieth day). For me, that means that the first shift of 2017 falls on Saturday the 7th.
